We are a church that has been active for over fifty-seven years here in Newport News.   At the same time, we are constantly re-evaluating our approach to ministry so that we can use modern methods to deliver the age-old message of the Good News of Jesus Christ.  In recognition of that fact, we continue to deliver strong biblical teaching and preaching while utilizing the internet to get our message out.

We are delighted that you have chosen to check us out on the internet.  If we can answer any questions or provide more personal ministry for you, there are ways to contact us listed on this website.  Consider the biblical mandate in Hebrews 10:25: “Do not neglect to meet together as is the habit of some, but encourage one another.”  We would love to be your home church if you do not already have one.  We have the theme of “Believing, Belonging, Becoming.”  In our modern times, it may be more accurate to list it as “Belonging, Becoming, Believing.”  In other words, we come together and learn to share Christ and life with each other and to belong in community first.  Then we grow as disciples—becoming.  It is only then that we come to understand more fully what it means to believe in the abundant life that Christ offers through his resurrection and his church.  Come join us in our pilgrimage and our adventure of faith.
