Newcomers
We Welcome you to the website of
Christ United Methodist Church
Our Worship experience at CUMC What to expect
If you enjoy many aspects of the traditional church you may have grown up with, but prefer a blend of the old hymns with new worship anthems and contemporary songs, then this service is for you. From recent college graduates, to young families, to adults in their prime of life--all generations can feel right at home here. While this service is a little more formal in style than a modern worship service, you can feel comfortable in jeans or go all out with your "Sunday best". Bring a hungry heart, and we believe that through worship and the teaching of God's Word, you'll encounter the living God in a powerful, life-changing way.
The Bulletin
If it's your first Sunday at Christ UMC, we encourage you to fill out the Connection Card. We would love to contact you with the information that pertains to you and your family.
We encourage you to be an active participant in worship. You can anticipate singing (the words are on the screen), worship through giving (the offering), and a message taught straight from God's Word. On the first Sunday of each month we celebrate the Lord's Supper and from time to time we are blessed with a baptism and/or profession of faith. If you have given your heart and life to Jesus Christ, you are invited to participate in the Lord's Supper--you do not have to be a member of our faith community or a member of another United Methodist Church.
Be sure to take a bulletin* from one of the ushers handing them out at the doors to the worship center. Our bulletin is designed to give you important information about what's happening in the life of our community of faith. Use your bulletin to take sermon notes then take it home to stay up to date and connected at Christ UMC.
